Our Children, Our Future – Getting Involved

Many WD Alumni have contributed a total of $1,717.00 to the WD Alumni Scholarship Fund.

“Back to the Future” at the 2015 WD Alumni Reunion

The 2015 WD Alumni Reunion celebrated the induction of the Class of 1980 and honored the Classes of 1940, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75. Approximately 200 alumni attended the event. Banquet goers enjoyed yearbook and memorabilia displays, complimentary individual and group photos, door prizes, WD Alumni slide show, live music entertainment, cocktails, appetizers and a wonderful banquet meal. Each honored year alum received a free digitized yearbook of their graduation year. Many alumni enjoyed an Upper Dells River Trip on the beautiful “Clipper” tour boat. Newest WDEF Affiliated Scholarships

Sally Bracken, daughter of the late Jack B. Olson, believes in supporting and investing in the future of our youth by endowing a scholarship fund in memory of her father. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduate, nominated by WDHS teachers, who demonstrates outstanding leadership and follows the “WD Way”.

Fund Raising - 2015 Golf for the Future raises $370,000 for the WDEF

The 2015 “Golf for the Future” held at Trappers Turn Golf Club in Wisconsin Dells raised a net $370,000 in support of the mission and goals of the Wisconsin Dells Education Foundation. Since it’s
beginning, Golf for the Future has raised approximately $1,075,000 for the WDEF. Fund raising contributions also included Kalahari Combo Pass sale by WDHS Spring Sport Athletes, Restaurant Days by High Rock Café, MACS Macaroni and Cheese Shop, Sprecher’s Restaurant & Pub, donation box contributions at Culver’s Wisconsin Dells and Lake Delton, Great Harvest Bread Co. and MACS Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton and the Kalahari Resort Wishing Pond.

2015 Wisconsin Dells High School Distinguished Achievement Hall of Fame Inductees

The 2015 WD Alumni Reunion hosted the 2nd Annual Wisconsin Dells High School Distinguished Achievement Hall of Fame. These inductees are David B. Dahlquist - class of 1976, Jack B. Olson – class of 1938 and Joan Christopherson Schmidt – class of 1948. WDEF Increases Scholarship Awards for 2016

The Wisconsin Dells Education Foundation and affiliates will increase scholarship availability to $116,000 for the 2016 WDHS graduates. Thanks to the generosity of our community the WDEF has provided approximately $338,500 in scholarships to 140 graduating seniors. View Photos
